Ronald Freeman, Of Counsel

Ron’s practice focuses on estate planning, uncontested probate, and estate and trust administration. He is known for his ability to make complex subjects understandable, for presenting the big picture in the midst of often overwhelming details, and for guiding his clients with practical, caring advice. Excellent client service is his top priority.

Ron earned his law degree Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston Law School in 1984 and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with High Honors from the University of Florida in 1978. He is a Certified Public Accountant. He has been Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1992 and has been Board Certified in Taxation Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1989. He was recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer in 2003, 2019-2025.

Ron was an adjunct professor of law at the University of Houston Law School from 1988-1994 and has been a speaker on a variety of estate planning, probate, and tax topics at well over 100 conferences and seminars for CPAs, attorneys, and other professional organizations. He was also the author of two estate planning and tax course manuals for the Professional Development Institute for seminars presented nationally. He has articles published in the Texas Bar Journal and in TAXES—The Tax Magazine.

Ron is married and has four children and eight grandchildren.
